Capitals Goalies Allow Seven Goals

Tomas Vokoun was pulled at the end of the first period on Saturday after allowing three goals. Vokoun was replaced by Michal Neuvirth, who allowed four goals over the final two periods.

Analysis:

The Caps’ miserable goaltending on Saturday took the heat off Roberto Luongo, whose own goals-against average didn’t improve after he allowed four goals. After a seven-game win streak to start the season, the Caps have now lost two in a row in Western Canada.
