According to the San Jose Mercury News, Patrick Marleau battled an sprained MCL in his left knee during the Sharks’ first-round series with Anaheim.
Marleau, who recorded three points in six games, will have an MRI on his knee next week to check for any meniscal tear. Given the Sharks’ early playoff exit yet again, Marleau could be on the move in the offseason, as GM Doug Wilson may attempt to overhaul the core of the team.
