Blake Scores Against Former Team

Jason Blake scored a goal and added 2 assists in the Maple Leafs’ 4-2 win over the Islanders on Monday.

Blake also recorded 3 points on Thursday against Phoenix. Otherwise, it’s been mostly a down year for Blake, who has been a healthy scratch for new head coach Ron Wilson. Blake’s inflated contract from the summer of 2007 could make him a buyout candidate by the new Brian Burke regime if he doesn’t produce. Don’t be surprised to see Blake moved before the trade deadline, as he stated before the season that he wouldn’t mind a move out of TO.
